Kundla`s in Hamlin

Not real bbq. Overrated to say least. 1 45 minutes 70 dollars later. Tough ribs ect ect ect.

The only thing I don't like about this place is the seasonal business model, but that probably makes it taste better. I always get the 1/2 ribs and 1/2 chicken combo. They have the best fries and coke slaw (and I don't even like coleslaw). Get here early as the lines can be very long as the day turns to night.

You haven’t had bbq unless you’ve eaten @ Kundla’sRustic out doors seasonal bbq.. It’s always packed;but rarely a line ... quick customer service

Food is usually good, we came at closing time and the chicken was dry. Sides are ok, corn on the cob is good. usually a long line, but overall worth the wait. They don't have beef ribs anymore.

Chicken, baked beans and macaroni salad was excellent! Pork ribs were chewy though. Dissapppinted in that cause they looked so yummy! Didn't care for the pickles either, were soggy and not crunchy. Prices were good and staff was friendly.

I travel an hour plus for this every year. It’s so good it made me learn what day is Columbus Day.. that’s how good it is.

This was my second time trying to go here, the first time they ran out of food. I was told it was amazing, but I was not impressed. It is cash only, which you figure out by a sign by the register, but not where you enter. They were out of a lot of things that I wanted to try, and we called before we came (called around noon, showed up around 2, on a Friday) and was told they had everything.Was told by the girl at the register that I should order at least a week in advance if I was traveling from far away to make sure they have what we wanted; when a woman came to pick up her pre ordered meal, they sold what she ordered originally and subbed a free side to make up for it, so obviously ordering in advance wouldn't make a difference.The chicken was pretty good, at least.Not impressed, will not be going back.

The wait is long but if your willing to wait you won't regret it. The Food is really good.

Nit my go to BBQ. Everything tastes the same. Very very long waits, ribs where overcook and hard to chew. Chicken was the best part. Will not return.

I feel this place used to be great food and great service. It still has decent service but the food has really gone down hill the last 2 seasons

We have been to the restaurant a few times today's food was really off, pork sandwich ice cold, potato salad had no taste ( mayo & ? )Smallest half a chicken ever seen. And the staff was not friendly and seemed annoyed at having to help you. It is such a shame the food was so good to there .

This is the best BBQ around. If you want to order from them on a Holiday weekend, I suggest calling the day before to place your order for pick up. I had to wait in an hour line to place my order, since call ahead pick up spots were all sold out. Totally worth it. Their ribs and chicken are great!

I've been going here for over 15 years. Every thing is amazing. Check out the butcher shop. The whole chickens are amazing, fresh, and cheap! I'll be taking my kids here one day. I never go a summer without stopping by at least once or twice

I was so excited to finally eat here. I have heard such positive reviews. The ribs sucked. Not even close to fall off the bone. The chicken had no taste at all, and the macaroni salad was terrible.I will add, the employees I met were very nice and helpful and friendly. It is a shame they had to stand behind a terrible product.

Never ever again, after being a loyal customer for over 25 years we are done with Kundla's. Starting last year and all this summer we have noticed changes for the worse. Poor service, lower quality, etc. We got to Kundla's at 5:45 pm tonight and waited in line until 645 at which time we were informed that they were out of food. I am not sure what the issue is but something drastic has happened. I doubt we will ever go again

The ribs and chicken we got we're very good. But after waiting an hour and a half to get to the front of the line they had no more corn and they had no more potato salad; the only side dish was cold greasy french fries. Also we wanted beef ribs but the only ribs they had left we're pork ribs. Their cooking is good when and if you can get it but their attitude toward their customers is miserable.

Its 1:12pm and they dont have any more food left. How do you run out of food and you're a BBQ place?! I had to leave immediately.

Wish they stuck to their opening days/hours. Supposed to close Columbus Day weekend and was surprised they were closed after the 2 hour drive out there

Something changed. Been going there for 15 years. New owners or new management, whatever changed, it was for the worse. Poor service, slow, food not the same. Nobody working there seems happy.

Loved it wish there was beef ribs. Chicken was excellent. Pork ribs great alittle fatty but good. The corn is the main ticket tho. I wish I got more of it. Waited in line for about 45 mins. So make sure you ho early

Great food at a great price. BBQ chicken and ribs are cooked on open pit grills. Fresh sweet corn-on-the-cob, fresh cut fries and many other BBQ sides. The team works at full speed to keep the line moving especially on holiday weekends. A must see if you are visiting the Lake Wallenpaupack area.

Spectacular food and service! There was a line that was quick, in the staff was very nice. Reasonably priced and just absolutely amazing! Outdoor eating bring the family and have a good time!

Great bbq spot, long lines and cash only. Parking can be tight during the busy hours. Come early and you wont have any issues.

Not my favorite BBQ around but I still go there. The atmosphere alone makes it an experience. Be prepared, its busy sometimes and there is a wait. The food is fresh and the people are friendly. Just because its not my favorite BBQ does not mean I don't like it.

Excellent food, wish they still had beef ribs loved them. Still pork ribs are awesome, chicken and porkchops are great. All side dishes are great two.

Stopped here a few days ago and we both hated the rib sauce and the serving line was totally disorganized. Years ago we frequented this place when the owners were present during dinner hours, the serving went very well. Furthermore, the rib sauce was excellent at that time. Not a place to look forward to anymore. I personally enjoy the ribs at TGI Fridays, and the service is much better and you won't have to swat flies.

This is the second time I've eaten here. Consistently the meats are excellent, tables are clean, staff is very friendly and work efficiently. The side dishes, beans, corn, salads, are pretty good, fries were undercooked, but it was very busy and I think that was probably not the usual case. I've cream cones are huge, delicious, and very reasonably priced. I'm stuffed!

Pretty much the worst ribs I have ever had. The ribs were tough, not fall off the bone tender. The meat is grilled on an open pit with barbeque sauce slathered at the end. It's not slow cooked in order to get the desired tenderness. Money wasted for food that was inedible.

Don't buy the hype. While not bad, this place manages to take Pocono bland and slather it over barbecue. It is not worth waiting in line for. Certainly not on a hot summer day. It isn't bad, just not that good. Granted there are not alot of options, and this isn't anywhere near the worst option but... if you have a grill or smoker you will make better yourself and that's NOT how a bbq joint should be.

LOONGGG wait, but one of a kind ribs if ya gotta have 'em!!!

Great BBQ spot that keeps it simple. No more, no less. Chicken, ribs, and pork with the sides to compliment. I've been going to Kundla's for over ten years now and it's always a tradition to look forward to. I recommend the chicken and ribs combo, enough to share for two. As for the sides, you can't go wrong with the corn. Fries, unfortunately, are not worth it, they seem to always be undercooked.On busy summer weekends it will get PACKED so fair warning. Don't hesitate to call your order for pickup or get it to go. I highly recommend Kundla's if you want a break from the grill and the kitchen.

1 hour wait. They needed a second cytting and serving team. Chicken was dry. Corn was cold. No more beef ribs. Out of homemade pickles. Out of bottles of their sauce. Not the Kundlas that I remember from the past 20 years. Disappointing.

Food was fantastic and the staff is great the wife and I have made this our go to spot for the best southern style BBQ around my daughters came up here and they can't wait to come back my family and I highly recommend you come and check it out.

Love this place!! Sometimes there's a bit of a line, but trust me it's well worth the wait. Fantastic barbeque, fantastic price.

Great food, good prices. We did takeout but there was lots of outdoor seating. Need more parking. Bring cash. They werenot taking plastic.

I finally found my favorite barbecue place in northeastern Pennsylvania! It took me close to 2 weeks to finally get a chance to come to this place because they're only open certain days a week. Boy was it worth the wait! Not only do you get huge servings but the food is incredible. I'm highly recommending this barbecue place and believe it's got to be the best in the area.

Always a treat to stumble onto a great place with outstanding food and full experience!!!We really just 'happened' to pick Kundla's for lunch and to our excellent surprise, everything from start to finish was wonderful.They are focused on beef & pork ribs, barbecued chicken, pork chops and pork sandwiches. Fresh picked, shucked and cooked sweet corn (so sweet & tender) and the pork & beans are truly da bomb!If you're reading this review and you've not tried Kundla's... Make it a plan and go enjoy!!!

Always great food, meats tender , salads very good. could be alittle pricey, but that’s what you get in a vacation area.. it’s a have to place to go whenever up at Wallenpaupack.

We really like this place. Picnic tables and you wash up at a hose spigot. Want to see people working hard? Go there. Food is good. Ribs are great. Pork can occasionally be dry.

Meat on the grill. Excellent, for us locals it's the place to go. Visiting, You must go, You will be talking and thinking about it till the day you die... Why only 4 stars you ask, I'm critical. Some days are better than others and I have to be honest. 4 or 5? Still a place to remember. Rumors:. They may be moving. So I wouldn't waist time. Enjoy...
